  1. Download the Storyboard app: iOS or Android
  2. Enter the email where you received your invite. If you are using Storyboard for work, this will likely be your corporate email address. If in doubt, reach out to support@trystoryboard.com.
  3. Once you are logged in, you will be taken to your main listener screen (feed) where you will be able to see all current podcasts that are available for you to listen to in a consolidated view.
  4. To start listening, click on either the play button or on the episode itself.
  5. Storyboard will instantly serve any episodes that are available to your entire organization. You can also explore Groups, which are used by some Storyboard organizations to expand the number of content channels available for listeners. You can go to the Groups Tab to find these or read below to learn more.
Download episodes

Downloading episodes on the Storyboard app offers you the convenience of listening regardless of your access to phone data or wifi. You’ll still be able to listen whether you’re on a flight or in a dead zone. Use the instructions below to download an episode:

We offer three options for offline listening:

  1. Downloading from your listener feed: click on the download icon next to the episode you wish to download.
  2. Downloading from the episode player: click on the download icon next to the episode image.
  3. Auto-download episodes: go to the Settings tab and click on the toggle button next to Automatic Downloads. Note: you must be connected to wifi to download.

All downloaded episodes can be viewed from the Downloads tab on your navigation bar.

  • Downloads will be available on your device unless you delete the download, delete the app, or are removed from your organization’s channel.
Mobile playback speed

Changing the speed of an episode is a great way to tune in at your own pace and modify podcast listening to your personal preference. You can speed up an episode to fit into a small window of listening time, or slow down an episode to increase comprehension.

Slowing down an episode elongates the audio and can be helpful for episodes that are difficult to understand. Speeding up an episode condenses the audio and makes the speech faster, which is a great option for someone who wants to increase how fast they receive the playback.

On our episode player, you will have the option to listen to your episode at normal speed, or anywhere between .5x - 2.5x speed.

To adjust the player speed on a specific episode:

  1. Find the episode that you’d like to listen to
  2. From the episode player, select the current speed to the left of the play button.
  3. You’ll see a pop-up at the bottom of the screen where you can speed up the episode by clicking on the + icon or slow down the episode by clicking on the - icon

To adjust the player speed for all episodes:

  1. Click on the Settings tab on the bottom right corner of your screen

Next to Set Playback Speed, speed up the episode by clicking on the + icon or slow down the episode by clicking on the - icon. This will auto-set your speed for future episodes that you listen to on the app

Exploring Groups on the app

Your organization may decide to break up content into different groups or series called Groups. For any Group you are subscribed to, you will see the current content on your main listener screen.

Note: Not all organizations utilize Groups. If you want to learn more about Groups or are a free tier organization that wants to explore our Pro tier where you can launch Groups, you can contact us at support@trystoryboard.com

To explore other content that you have access to, click on the Groups tab in your navigation bar. Under the section Your Groups, you’ll be able to see the Groups that you are subscribed to.

Under Explore Groups, you will have the option to subscribe to any open Groups that you aren’t currently a member of. When you subscribe to a Group, all content from that Group will show up on your main listener feed.

To subscribe, select the Group and click on Follow on the Groups page.

If enabled, you will receive push notifications when new episodes are released. You will not need to return to the Groups tab to access this content. It will show up on your main listener feed which is the first screen you will see after logging in.
